Leadership grounded in real crisis operations

Kelly didn't set out to become a consultant. She set out to make sure people in crisis got the right response — and spent years learning, firsthand, what that actually takes.

She started in the field, riding alongside law enforcement and emergency responders into some of the hardest moments a community sees: active suicidality, psychiatric emergencies, situations where the wrong call has real consequences. That work taught her something no training manual covers — crisis systems don't usually fail because people don't care. They fail because the infrastructure around those people was never built to hold up under pressure.

That realization is what eventually pulled her from direct response into systems leadership. She helped stand up mobile crisis response across the entire state of Idaho, trained the clinicians who deliver it, and untangled how managed care organizations and community agencies could actually work together instead of past each other. She's still the person crisis staff call when a case gets complicated, and the one who goes back afterward and fixes what didn't hold.

Frontline Risk Mitigation grew out of that experience: the recognition that most organizations don't have someone like Kelly in the room when they're designing their crisis systems — and that gap is exactly where things go wrong.
